Behavioral modification and emotional regulation

Every behavior has an antecedent and a consequence—-the ABC theory

Antecedent — Behavior — Consequence

Behavioural modification first of all requires detailed analysis of behavior in terms of triggers, reasons, level of child’s communication, severity of behavior and how the behavior is stopped or decreased.

Every behavior does not require intervention, sometimes behaviors needs to be ignored to break the pattern. Only difficult behaviors which causes harm to child, environment or hampering child’s learning needs to be intervened.
